RA Schools Show 2017
Join the Royal Academy’s graduating artists for a guided tour of the annual RA Schools Show, offering you a chance to explore the work of the next generation of artists.
The RA Schools accepts just 17 students each year onto its three-year postgraduate fine art course, and this annual show is a culmination of their time at the RA. Join us for a rare opportunity to meet some of the most talented artists working today, experience the historic RA Schools’ studios (normally hidden from public view) and most importantly, to see a diverse selection of compelling artworks and exhibitions.
This tour will be led by final-year students Josephine Baker-Heaslip and Jack Burton.
The RA Schools is the only institution in Europe to offer a free postgraduate programme in contemporary art. Former students include J. M. W. Turner, William Blake and John Everett Millais, all the way to Eddie Peake, Catherine Story, Matthew Darbyshire and Turner Prize nominee Lynette Yiadom-Boakye. Established in 1769 and still independent, it is the longest-running art school in Britain and continues to fulfil its founding aim to support and train the next generation of artists.
These tours last for approximately 45 minutes. Please note the meeting point will be the RA School Show entrance.
Limited capacity on a first come first served basis.
