The RA Schools annual dinner and auction is an exclusive fundraising event in celebration and in aid of the Royal Academy Schools.
The event, hosted by Stephen Fry and chaired by Rob Suss, begins with a Champagne and cocktail reception where guests will view an exhibition of works donated by recently graduated RA Schools students and Royal Academicians, while enjoying sumptuous food and entertainment. After the reception guests will enjoy a delicious dinner and auction.
Highlights from recent Schools auctions have included works by Jenny Holzer Hon RA, Wolfgang Tillmans RA, Marina Abramović Hon RA and Antony Gormley RA.
This year the auction will include a limited edition print by Rose Wylie RA. It will also see the return of our luxury raffle. The auction and raffle are now live – full details here.
The proceeds of this fundraising event go towards the RA Schools. The Royal Academy meets the cost of tuition fees for all students accepted onto the course, which means the Schools can offer places based on the creative potential of the candidates who apply – a principle upon which the Royal Academy Schools was founded in 1769.
The RA Schools is the oldest art school in Britain that continues to give an unparalleled opportunity for students to develop their work over a three-year postgraduate degree, the only one of its kind in Europe. The RA Schools may be steeped in history but remains at the forefront of contemporary art, spearheading a new generation of international artists.
