Join us for a one-off musical performance starring Zoë Wanamaker CBE. Taking the role of pianist Clara Schumann, her recollections act as a guide through the music of Schubert, Schumann and Brahms.
The triangle drawn by Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms was completed by the genius and passions of Clara Schumann. Her extraordinary journey from child prodigy to superstar, from muse to mentor of two of the greatest composers of the 19th century is mapped through song and soliloquy in this new work devised by Keith Lewis and written by Gawn Grainger.
The tenor Keith Lewis performs 14 songs that illustrate the intersection of their shared passions. Melvyn Tan completes this triangle, accompanying Keith Lewis and performing three piano excerpts from Schumann’s Fantasie Stück & Kinderszenen, and Brahm’s 1st Piano Concerto.
Join us in the Reynold's Room at the Royal Academy of Arts for a one-off performance of this beautiful arrangement.
Limited tickets £110. (Open to the public) RSVP to patrons@royalacademy.org.uk or 020 7300 5885.
