Premiums: Interim Projects 2019
Patrons will have the first opportunity to see the work of second-year RA Schools students at their annual exhibition 'Premiums: Interim Projects', ahead of the opening reception.
This annual exhibition provides an opportunity to see up-to-the-minute work by emerging artists at a time when their practice is still developing. Innovative and surprising, Premiums: Interim Projects reflects the diversity of practice at the RA Schools and features photography, painting and sculpture alongside video, installation and live performance.
The RA Schools is a school of contemporary art at the heart of the Royal Academy. Former students include Turner Prize nominee Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Eddie Peake, Catherine Story and Matthew Darbyshire. Historic names have also passed through their doors, such as JMW Turner, William Blake and John Everett Millais.
