Gold, Platinum and International Patrons are invited for an evening in the studio with Turner prize-nominated artist and filmmaker, Isaac Julien CBE RA.
Patrons will have the opportunity to meet the artist and discover the process behind his multi-screen film installations and photographs that incorporate different artistic disciplines to create a unique visual language.
Julien is one of the most prominent figures at the intersection of media art and cinema today. While studying painting and fine art film at St Martin’s School of Art, from which he graduated in 1984, Isaac Julien co-founded Sankofa Film and Video Collective, in which he was active from 1983–1992. Julien has pioneered a form of multi-screen installations and won the Charles Wollaston Award for his work Western Union: Small Boats which was exhibited in the 2017 Summer Exhibition.
