Lucian Freud, Flyda and Arvid, 1947.

Pencil and ink on paper, heightened with coloured crayon, 21.5 x 29.5 cm. Private collection © The Lucian Freud Archive / Bridgeman Images Exhibition organised by the Royal Academy of Arts, London in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Ahead of the opening, we invite Patrons to join us for a drinks reception and curator-led tour of our exhibition Lucian Freud: The Self-portraits.

One of the most celebrated portraitists of our time, Lucian Freud is also one of very few 20th century artists who portrayed themselves with such consistency. Be among the first to take an intimate look at his self-portraits in an exclusive evening view for Patrons.

The evening will begin with a drinks reception, followed by a curator-led tour of the exhibition. Patrons are invited to chose one of two time slots for the tour.
