Craft your own natural inks and transform them into drawings in this workshop for adults facing barriers.

In this workshop inspired by Astonishing Things: The Drawings of Victor Hugo, you’ll learn how to craft natural inks using everyday materials and use them to bring your own imaginative worlds to life. Drawing from Hugo’s dreamlike works on paper, you’ll paint a series of fantastical ink scenes, exploring themes of storytelling and wonder.

The session will be led by artist Alice Burnhope alongside a small team of experienced assistants. Family, friends and plus ones are all welcome and recommended, particularly if one-to-one support is required.

There will be a breakout space available, with a selection of sensory aids.

The event is free and no booking is required. Please complete this short form to share access requirements with us in advance.

Capacity is limited and this workshop series is in high demand. We kindly ask community groups to bring no more than 6-8 people, inclusive of support staff, to ensure we can safely meet everyone's needs on the day.
