Friends tour Lord’s cricket ground with curator Adam Chadwick, who introduces us to the club’s fascinating collection of cricket-related paintings, including portraits of some of the game’s best-known figures, past and present.
We visit the famous Long Room, which houses many of the paintings in the collection, and experience the famous panoramic view of the grounds. Our behind-the-scenes part of the tour takes us up to the players’ dressing rooms and we also visit the MCC’S museum to see the Ashes and venture out into the stands to learn about the ground’s architectural history and future plans.
This event is also taking place on 10 March 2016.
