Klimt / Schiele
We invite RA250 Friends, RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room to join us for an exclusive, early morning private view and guided tour of Klimt / Schiele: Drawings from the Albertina Museum, Vienna this Autumn.
Escape the crowds for an intimate private view of the exhibition, featuring exquisite drawings by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. Enjoy a guided tour with art historian, Graham Greenfield, as he walks you through the exhibition and highlights his key works of influence. Even more exclusive than the VIP Friday morning viewings, this is your chance to view this extraordinary exhibition at your own leisure.
Klimt / Schiele will offer an intimate insight into the artistic relationship between two ground-breaking artists who shared a mutual admiration for each other’s talents and their divergent yet at times compellingly parallel styles. Showcasing around 100 portraits, landscapes, nudes and erotic drawings Klimt / Schiele will present some of the 20th century’s most important works on paper, which due to their delicacy will not be displayed again for many years. Highlights will include Klimt’s sketches for his seminal Beethoven Frieze, and unflinching self-portraits by Schiele. Prepare to encounter these two icons of Modernism at their most raw and revealing.
This event is open to RA250 Friends, RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room only. Please call 020 7300 8090 to book.
