The Renaissance Nude
These audio described life drawing workshops, inspired by ‘The Renaissance Nude’, are designed for blind and partially sighted visitors.
Artists David Johnson and Harry Baxter lead these life drawing workshops specifically designed for blind and partially sighted visitors.
As a blind artist, David Johnson’s practice is deeply connected with how he experiences the world through senses beyond the visual. Harry Baxter is experienced in audio describing and life drawing and has been an art educator for the RA since 2006. The two artists will support attendees to explore a range of materials and novel ways of closing the knowledge gap between the attendee and the object of their attention.
These workshops are free and anyone is welcome, including those with no art experience. Materials and support from staff and volunteers are provided throughout the sessions.
Refreshments are provided.
