Klimt / Schiele
A creative workshop inspired by artworks in the exhibition 'Klimt / Schiele: Drawings from the Albertina Museum, Vienna'.
This exhibition demonstrates the enduring passion Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele shared for the immediacy of drawing. The medium was ideal in allowing them to explore of a variety of new ideas. This show provides a rare insight into the practice of these two icons of modernism through a variety of their portraits, allegories, landscapes and erotic nudes.
In this session, two artist educators support participants to view and respond to a variety of works in the exhibition. Afterwards, participants are guided to experiment with different drawing techniques and make their own artworks in response to the works they’ve seen and discussed.
These workshops are designed for groups working with disabled adults or adults at risk of exclusion from arts and culture. We advise groups be fewer than 15 people so we can ensure everyone attending is properly supported to engage with the workshop.
