To celebrate the launch of Friends week, join us for a night of live music, American wine tasting and a private view of our blockbuster exhibition ‘America After the Fall: Painting in the 1930s’. A collection of Sir Hugh Casson PRA’s sketchbooks will also be on display, revealed to the public for the first time.
Friends week is a week of events dedicated to our loyal Friends to say thank you for your continued support. It’s a chance to experience events, activities and tours from around the RA.
Enjoy a private view, a curator talk of America After the Fall: Painting in the 1930s and live music themed around 1930s America.
In celebration of 40 years of the Friends membership scheme, the Casson family has generously bequeathed a number of sketchbooks from the founder of the RA Friends, Sir Hugh Casson PRA. These sketchbooks will be on display during the event, and curator Dr Neil Bingham will be on hand to talk to guests about the works.
Roberson Wine is an independent wine company with a mission to sell wine of value, character and substance. Cliff Roberson set up Roberson Wine in 1991. Since then, they have gone from being a local shop to an innovative, multi-award-winning wine company. We are delighted to announce that Roberson will be leading the American wine tasting during the Friends week launch party. Friends will have the opportunity to taste their award-winning USA collection, which includes some interesting and vibrant wines from the west coast. Roberson experts will be on hand to guide Friends through the tastings and answer any queries they may have.
