To celebrate the launch of Friends week, join us for a night of live music, American wine tasting and a private view of our blockbuster exhibition ‘America After the Fall: Painting in the 1930s’. A collection of Sir Hugh Casson PRA’s sketchbooks will also be on display, revealed to the public for the first time.

Friends week is a week of events dedicated to our loyal Friends to say thank you for your continued support. It’s a chance to experience events, activities and tours from around the RA.

This year Christopher Le Brun, President of the RA, will open the annual Friends week launch party. Enjoy a private view, a curator talk of America After the Fall: Painting in the 1930s and live music themed around 1930s America.

In celebration of 40 years of the Friends membership scheme, the Casson family has generously bequeathed a number of sketchbooks from the founder of the RA Friends, Sir Hugh Casson PRA. These sketchbooks will be on display during the event, and curator Dr Neil Bingham will be on hand to talk to guests about the works.

Your ticket includes a welcome drink and a slice of artisan pizza.

Booking is essential for this event. If you wish to bring a guest, please book one ticket for each person. Find out more about Friends events and Friends week 2017.

The RA is an independent charity that relies on the generosity of its Friends. Thank you for supporting the RA by participating in Friends events.
