Ann Christopher RA
Friends of the RA are invited to join Ann Christopher RA and Annette Wickham in conversation. This event will also include an exclusive Private View of Ann’s latest exhibition in the Tennant Gallery, 'Drawing - The Lines of Time'.
In this special opportunity to hear from a Royal Academician, join Ann Christopher RA in conversation with Annette Wickham, Curator of Works on Paper. Ann is an artist best known for her sculptures – elegant and enigmatic pieces in small and large scales, often rendered in metal. Throughout her career, she has also addressed similar themes through her series of works on paper. The titles of many of Christopher’s sculptures relate to qualities traditionally associated with draughtsmanship – line, light and shadow – while her drawings and prints are often concerned with qualities connected with sculpture and architecture – texture, presence and three-dimensionality. This semi-figurative drawing, from an early series, reflects on the relationship between landscape and the built environment.
This event will also include an exclusive Private View of Ann’s latest exhibition: Drawing – The Lines of Time in the Tennant Gallery.
Booking is essential for this event; if you wish to bring a guest please book one ticket for each person.
