Pablo Picasso, Head of a Woman, Mougins, 4 December 1962.

Pencil on cut and folded wove paper from an album sheet. 42 x 26.5 cm. Musée national Picasso-Paris. Pablo Picasso gift in lieu, 1979. MP1850. Photo © RMN-Grand Palais (Musée national Picasso-Paris) / Béatrice Hatala. © Succession Picasso/DACS 2019.

Due to popular demand, we have extended our opening hours on selected dates for ‘Picasso and Paper’ – exclusively for Friends of the RA.

Pablo Picasso rewrote the rules of painting, but he also tore up the rulebook for paper. In an exhibition of unprecedented scale, we unite over 300 of the artist’s works on and with paper – spanning his entire prolific career and representing a significant chapter in modern art.

See the exhibition away from the crowds at a series of exclusive extended views, just for Friends.

This event is open to Friends of the RA, RA250 Friends and RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room only.

Exhibition organised by the Royal Academy of Arts, London and the Cleveland Museum of Art in partnership with the Musée national Picasso-Paris.
