Explore UCL Art Museum's collection along with fellow Friends of the RA on this guided tour with the museum's curator. The collection contains over 10,000 objects including paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture, dating from 1490 to the present day.
UCL Art Museum also holds the collection of prize-winning work by students from the Slade School of Fine Art dating from 1890 to the present day. The prize collection contains work by many important 20th-century British artists who studied at the Slade School of Fine Art including Stanley Spencer RA, Augustus John, Rex Whistler and Paula Rego.
Friends will view works on paper in the Print Room, then explore the paintings and sculpture on display around the college, some of which are not usually open to the public. The visit finishes with a tour of the archived works in the museum’s painting store and an opportunity to independently explore UCL's Flaxman Gallery.
This is part of a series of events exploring UCL as a cultural venue.
This event will also be held on 2 February.
