Friends enjoy an exclusive tour of the National Archives, where government records are collected and secured for future generations.
From the Domesday Book to modern government papers and digital files, the 11 million-strong collection includes drawings, paintings, paper and parchment, photographs, posters, maps and websites.
Friends will go behind the scenes to view the vast repositories and learn how the National Archives team make 97% of all records held available for public viewing within 60 minutes. Friends will also view a selection of documents that illustrate the breadth of items held within the archives, with a particular focus on records and ephemera relating to art and artists.
This event will also be held on 2 March.
