Booking and attending Friends excursions and events
One of the 12 Great Livery Companies, Merchant Taylors’ Hall has occupied its present site between Threadneedle Street and Cornhill since 1347. Friends enjoy refreshments and a tour of the modern hall.
While the Hall incurred significant damage during the Great Fire of London and the Second World War, it has been sympathetically restored and our private tour includes the Great Hall, Parlour and King’s Gallery, in particular its 18th-century Chinese wallpaper, a 15th-century oriel window and panelling reputedly from the Bank of England.
This event is also taking place on 21 July 2016.
