2016 marked the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London. Our walk traces its fiery destruction as it burned for four days and four nights, destroying 80% of medieval London.
We begin at Wren’s Monument, built a short distance from Pudding Lane to commemorate the Great Fire. Visiting various sites along the way, our walk finishes near St Paul’s Cathedral where we hear about how the medieval Old St Paul’s was completely annihilated by the fire. After the walk, you can visit a commemorative exhibition, Fire! Fire! at the Museum of London.
This event also takes place on 27 January.
