Join us for a unique opportunity to view the exquisite, recently restored, Grade II listed Fitzrovia Chapel with the project’s senior architect and lead conservationist as they tell us about the Chapel’s history and what was involved in its £3 million restoration.
Designed by noted Gothic revivalist, John Loughborough Pearson and his son Frank, this hidden gem was built for the benefit of the patients and staff of the Middlesex Hospital and completed in 1929. It closed in 2005 when the hospital was vacated and has stood neglected ever since, while everything else on site has been demolished. Following a £3 million restoration project, the chapel has been returned to its former glory and we are delighted to have the project’s architect and lead conservationist host our private visit.
