Home to the Proby family since 1660, Elton Hall contains a magnificent art collection which includes Old Master and Pre-Raphaelite paintings, family portraits by Reynolds, Hoppner and Romney, and works by Millais and Turner.
Following a welcome and introduction to the house by the owner, Sir William Proby (subject to his availability), Friends privately tour this charming house, including the medieval chapel, Marble Hall designed by Henry Ashton, and the Library, which contains Henry VIII’s Prayer Book. There will be time to wander in the exquisite gardens and to visit All Saints Church, Elton.
