Join us for a private curator talk at the Goldsmith Centre’s 'Made for the Table' exhibition and enjoy a special gold and silver inspired afternoon tea, all washed down with a cold glass of prosecco.
The 'Made for the Table exhibition at the Goldsmith’s Centre explores the evolution of silver tableware and associated dining from 1600 to today. Featuring a selection from the Goldsmiths’ Company’s world-renowned silver collection, it facilitates a conversation between historic and contemporary craft; from the significance of dining silver to the influence of function on design.
Friends are invited to a private talk about the exhibition given by the curator followed by time to view the exhibiton. After viewing the exhibition, we'll enjoy a very special afternoon tea celebrating silver and gold, with savouries including classic cucumber sandwiches with edible gold glitter, and asparagus and parmesan tart with silver soil crumble topping. Sweets include silver and gold macaroons and bakewell tart and five-way chocolate feuillettine with golden spray.
This event will also be held on 16 August 2018
