Be enchanted by the Royal Academy at Christmas, with private views of ‘Jasper Johns’ and ‘Dalí / Duchamp’, jazz music, late-night shopping, complimentary gift wrapping and Christmas treats.

Celebrate the festive season at the Royal Academy’s annual Friends Christmas party and private view, where you can explore two magnificent exhibitions after-dark, accompanied by the sound of classic Sinatra-inspired jazz music.

Our galleries will stay open for a special Friends private view. Discover why Jasper Johns is regarded as one of the most influential artists of our time in Jasper Johns: Something Resembling Truth, or take a look at the friendship between two artistic giants in Dalí / Duchamp. Then, head into the Grand Café to get into the Christmas spirit, with festive themed tapas from Peyton & Byrne and mince pies available to purchase throughout the evening.

The RA Shop will stay open late for all your Christmas shopping needs, with a pop-up gift wrapping service on hand to add the finishing touches to your loved ones’ presents. Learn origami techniques when wrapping, including pleating and Japanese style kimono wrap, to add that extra special touch to your Christmas gifts.

For a VIP experience, upgrade your ticket and treat yourself to free-flowing sparkling wine in our private members’ club. The intimate Academicians’ Room is the perfect place to celebrate in style, with a DJ spinning Christmas favourites through the night. Guests with a VIP ticket will also receive a limited-edition gift bag and access to a private bar, where our resident mixologist will be serving winter cocktails, available to purchase until late.

VIP tickets have now sold out. Standard tickets are still available.
