Eco-Visionaries
Join this family workshop, inspired our Eco-Visionaries exhibition, to learn sustainable ways of upcycling your clothes. Suitable for families with children aged 7+.
This family workshop is about reducing our impact on the environment by reusing old clothes.
First, designer Sophie Hawkins will lead a visit to our Eco-Visionaries exhibition where we’ll see examples of how artists and designers are responding to the climate crisis.
Then we’ll work as a group in our Clore Learning Centre to make a giant map of the world out of old clothes, learning mending techniques that can be used at home.
We’ll supply needles, threads and fabrics, but you are welcome to bring old clothing that you don’t mind being cut into scraps.
We encourage all family members to learn and make together in our workshops. Adults and children must each have their own ticket. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
