Explore the RA's hidden gems in this workshop about Royal Academicians and the artworks they have given to the Collection.
The Royal Academy is completely unique: it was founded by artists for artists, and to this day, is run by artists called Royal Academicians. Each time an Academician joins, they choose a very special artwork to donate to the Collection, known as a ‘diploma work’.
In this workshop, dive into the RA’s Collection as we draw inspiration from some of its finest artworks and the creatives that made them. Become part of the RA’s community of artists as you make your own artwork as a family. Will you donate it to us or take it home to start your own collection?
This workshop will be led by experienced artist-educator, Cash Aspeek, and is aimed at children with special educational needs and disabilities. Please state any access needs upon booking and we will tailor the workshop to your family.
This workshop will have the same content on Sunday 26 May and Monday 27 May, so please only sign up for one workshop.
