Picasso and Paper
Learn how to make your own paper from scratch, then use it to create shapes and collages like the artworks in 'Picasso and Paper'.
In this workshop, you'll visit Picasso and Paper for a guided discussion about some of the ingenious ways paper can be used – Picasso didn’t simply draw on paper but tore it, burnt it, and made it three-dimensional.
Back in the Clore Learning Centre, you'll learn where paper comes from and how to create our own eco-friendly version, using traditional artisanal techniques. Artist Christine will then teach you how to use it to make our own paper-based artworks just like Picasso’s.
Suitable for children aged 7+ and their families.
We encourage all family members to learn and make together in our workshops. Adults and children must each have their own ticket. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
