In Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by the demigod Māui (for stealing the heart of the goddess Te Fiti) reaches Moana’s island Motunni, she answers the ocean’s call to seek out the demigod and make things right, setting off on an epic adventure across the Pacific.
