Join the curators for a free, 30 minute talk in the RA Tennant Gallery, introducing the exhibition: Laura Knight RA: A Working Life.
Our curators will offer insights into Laura Knight’s career and discuss her working methods and favourite themes of country life, the figure, ballet and circus performers.
Dame Laura Knight DBE RA (1877–1970) was exceptionally skilled in capturing the movement and multiplicity of life in her art. This display presents a selection of her paintings and drawings from the collection of the Royal Academy of Arts, grouped around three themes: country life, her behind-the-scenes studies of the ballet and other performances and her depictions of the nude.
