Léon Spilliaert
Join deaf guide Claire Cummings for an hour-long tour of 'Léon Spilliaert' in British Sign Language.
Discover the enigmatic work of Belgian artist Léon Spilliaert. Self-taught, Spilliaert took inspiration from writers and thinkers such as Edgar Allan Poe and Friedrich Nietzsche. His self-portraits and dream-like seascapes explore the self and solitude, aligning him with European modernists such as Edvard Munch.
