Hear Ann Dumas and Emilia Philippot’s insights into our exhibition Picasso and Paper at this talk in the Benjamin West Lecture Theatre.

In this 50-minute event, the curators of the exhibition will explore Picasso’s ingenious use of the universal material of paper throughout his entire 80-year career. They will offer new insights into his creative spirit and working methods, and will reveal how paper allowed Picasso to push the boundaries of thought and practice.

Afterwards, the curators will take questions in a 10-minute audience Q&A.

Ann Dumas is a curator at the RA. She is responsible for several landmark exhibitions, including Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse and The Real Van Gogh.

Emilia Philippot is Head of Collections at Musée national Picasso-Paris.

Exhibition organised by the Royal Academy of Arts, London and the Cleveland Museum of Art in partnership with the Musée national Picasso-Paris.
