Join co-curator Andrea Tarsia as he gives insight into the shared themes of Bill Viola and Michelangelo, whilst discussing the significance of the works chosen to be shown together for the first time.
Exhibition co-curator Andrea Tarsia introduces Bill Viola / Michelangelo: Life, Death, Rebirth giving an insight into the work of these two artists who, though born centuries apart, navigate the same universal themes with works of transcendent beauty and emotional power.
Andrea Tarsia is Head of Exhibitions at the Royal Academy. He was previously at the Whitechapel Gallery and the ICA in London and has curated numerous exhibitions of contemporary art.
