Abstract Expressionism
Supported by Robin Hambro
Join us for this creative workshop inspired by the paintings of the RA’s 'Abstract Expressionism' exhibition.
This workshop is designed for groups working with disabled adults or adults at risk of exclusion from arts and culture. Individuals will be supported to explore and respond to the artworks by artists like Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Willem de Kooning, whose work contributed to an unparalleled period in American art. The group will then be guided to create their own artworks in response to these painters who broke from accepted conventions to redefine the nature of painting.
We work with one group per workshop and we advise that groups are not more than 15 people so we can ensure everyone attending is properly supported to engage with the workshop.
