Watercolour is one of the simplest mediums – the quality of paint, once applied on to paper, is closest to the original pigment. By understanding the range of qualities afforded by watercolour in terms of opacity and radiance, you'll begin to experience how hues and compositions call to their artistic senses.
We'll look to combine these qualities of paint with text and collage, playing with multiple visual languages. on this course.
Throughout the weekend, the course will help you to explore ideas you have for your own work through a series of group exercises and individual conversations. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to speak about each other’s work and receive feedback on your own.
Roxy Walsh is a senior lecturer in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London.
