Using a range of drawing and painting participants will explore the fundamentals of tone and colour with a focus on the relationship between what we see and what we make.

There will be an in-depth investigation into mark-making, drawing techniques, layering, colour control and modification strategies. The work made will likely be abstract, but the lessons learned during the course can be applied to all art-making genres.

Emyr Williams is an abstract painter who has exhibited in the UK, Europe and North America. His work has won awards and is held in many public, corporate and private collections worldwide.

Minimum age 18. If you have any accessibility needs, please contact academic.programmes@royalacademy.org.uk
