Renaissance Impressions
Mary Beard, the RA’s Professor of Ancient Literature, explores some of the Classical themes in the 'Renaissance Impressions' exhibition.
From the rape of the Sabines to the tragic Narcissus, the woodcut prints in 'Renaissance Impressions' cover a wealth of Classical mythology and imagery. The author and classicist Professor Mary Beard examines these themes – some well known, others more arcane – in this special evening event.
Followed by a drink.
