Award-winning abstract sculptor Ann Christopher RA discusses her exhibition and extensive body of work with Richard Cork, who has written the introduction for a new publication about the artist. The event will be followed by a book signing.
Ann Christopher RA is a non-figurative sculptor whose elegant and understated works reveal connections with a vast spectrum of sources from across the globe, from rock formations in Menorca and Iceland to fossils from the Cretaceous chalks of Hertfordshire. Christopher has been exhibiting sculpture for over 45 years, during which she has won many awards and prizes, including the Silver Medal for Sculpture of Outstanding Merit by the Royal Society of British Sculptors and the Otto Beit Medal of Sculpture of Outstanding Merit.
In this talk Christopher discusses her extensive body of work and current exhibition, a series of new works, Drawing - The Lines of Time with art critic Richard Cork, who has written the introduction for a new publication about the artist.
The event will be followed by a book signing.
Doors open at 12.30pm, no admittance will be granted for latecomers after 1pm. If you do not arrive before 1pm, your ticket will be released at that time to those waiting for returned tickets.
