Join us for an in-gallery talk on the work of Charles Tunnicliffe RA, with Collections Curator Annette Wickham.

Annette Wickham introduces this exhibition on the work of Charles Tunnicliffe RA (1901-1979), one of the leading wildlife artists of the 20th century. The display focuses on Tunnicliffe’s role as a printmaker and book illustrator, who was well-known for his charming naturalistic depictions of birds and other animals. Tunnicliffe illustrated numerous Ladybird books as well as publications like Tarka the Otter, and examples of both feature in the display.

Annette Wickham is Curator of Works on Paper for the Royal Academy Collection.
