Take a tour of the RA Schools and gain a unique insight into the longest running art school in Britain, it’s students and history.
Tucked away within the walls of the Royal Academy is the longest running art school in Britain, offering free post-graduate art education for up to 17 students each year. Alumni include JMW Turner, William Blake, and more recently Eddie Peake and 2013 Turner Prize-nominee Lynette Yiadom Boakye.
Go behind-the-scenes with this exclusive tour and hear stories from across its 250 year history, as well as the plans to revitalise the campus in their 250th anniversary year.
Taking place throughout Friends Week, we are offering Friends of the RA a unique opportunity to gain insight to the inner workings of the Royal Academy through talks, tours, workshops, stories and anecdotes from the experts.
This event is open to members of the Academicians’ Room, Friends of the RA and RA250 Friends and RA250 Supporters.
Members of the Academicians' Room, please call 020 7300 8090 to book. Friends of the RA can book by phone or online.
