Dalí / Duchamp
At this event for blind and partially sighted visitors, join us for an audio-described tour of the exhibition, followed by refreshments and a handling session.
Dalí / Duchamp brings together two artistic giants: father of conceptual art Marcel Duchamp and larger-than-life Surrealist Salvador Dalí. Dawn Ades, co-curator of this exhibition, explains that a shared interest in “humour, the erotic, [and] a sceptical fascination with science and above all a non-conformist spirit” united the pair.
Join us for an audio-described tour that explores this unlikely friendship. Experience Dalí’s paintings and sculptures and Duchamp’s groundbreaking assemblages and readymades. Afterwards, our handling session will provide deeper insight into their correspondence, collaborations and shared artistic interests.
This event includes refreshments and volunteer support is provided.
