America after the Fall: Painting in the 1930s
Join curator Marianne Mulvey for an in-gallery talk focusing on Georgia O'Keeffe and her painting 'Cow's Skull with Calico Roses' (1932).
As part of our International Women’s Day Programme 2017 we will be focusing on female artists across different RA exhibitions and the RA Collection to discover some of the accomplishments of female artists throughout history. In this short in-gallery talk, Marianne Mulvey will guide an exploration of how O'Keeffe's painting Cow’s Skull with Calico Roses (1932) appeals to senses other than sight, particularly touch.
