Sophie Callis

Sophie Callis has graced decks worldwide with her signature fusion of jazz, funk, soul, boogie, disco, electro, house, hip hop and world music.

Sophie Callis dropped out of school and dived into the music industry at the tender age of 17. Her roots are firmly within West London’s music scene and she has over 20 years of experience under her belt consulting for independent and major record labels, underground radio stations and record shops. Callis simultaneously built up her record collection and went from playing industry parties to some of the most reputable venues and festivals worldwide.

With a weekly radio show on Soho Radio London and a monthly show on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Fm, Callis continues to share her musical discoveries both old and new from across the board.

This event is open to members of the Academicians’ Room, Friends of the Royal Academy and the general public. RSVP required.
