InMind
Monday 23 July 2018 11am - 12.30pm
Meet in the Front Hall, 6 Burlington Gardens, Royal Academy of Arts
Free, booking required.
Join us to either discuss artworks from our permanent collection or participate in an art-making workshop.
Artist and gallery educators facilitate these regular sessions for individuals living with early to mid-stages of dementia and their carers, friends and family members. Each session will allow participants to choose between a discussion session focused on an artwork from the RA Collection, or an art-making workshop.
The discussion session will involve looking at and discussing responses to an artwork. The session will be supported by the use of multisensory objects relating to the artwork.
The art-making workshop will be inspired by an artwork from the RA Collection or an the work of a Royal Academician, with participants supported to explore different materials and ways of making.
This event includes refreshments and volunteer support is provided.
