Breakfast in the Academicians' Room

We invite members of the Academicians’ Room to join us for an exclusive private view of our exhibitions ‘Summer Exhibition 2020’ and ‘Gauguin and the Impressionists’, with a complimentary breakfast.

Due to the ongoing circumstances surrounding coronavirus, we regret to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to cancel all events advertised for 2020 at this moment. If you have purchased tickets to an event, please contact us on 0207 300 8090 or tickets@royalacademy.org.uk and include your order number to arrange a refund. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

Ahead of the galleries opening to the public, this is an intimate opportunity to browse the 252nd Summer Exhibition 2020 and the masterpieces of the Ordrupgaard Collection in Gauguin and the Impressionists at your leisure away from the crowds.

A light breakfast of fresh pastries and artisan coffee will be held in the Academicians’ Room. Food and drink will not be permitted into the galleries.

Summer Exhibition 2020
Run without interruption since 1769, the world’s largest open submission art show returns to our main galleries this summer. Bringing together works in an array of mediums – prints and paintings, film and photography, sculpture, architectural works and more – you’ll see work by leading artists, Royal Academicians and household names, as well as new and emerging talent.

Gauguin and the Impressionists: Masterpieces from the Ordrupgaard Collection
The Ordupgaard Collection in Denmark is home to some of the most important Impressionist paintings in northern Europe. Next spring, see 60 of its works by painters such as Manet, Monet, Renoir, Pisarro, Morisot and Degas – many of which have never been seen in the UK.

This event is open to members of the Academicians’ Room only. To book, please call 020 7300 8090 or email academiciansroom@raarts.org.uk.
