Oriana Georgiana Reinagle, Tree trunks

Tree trunks

Attributed to Oriana Georgiana Reinagle (1794 - 1875)

RA Collection: Art

A pencil drawing of several tree trunks with branches but no leaves. This drawing is very similar to others in the collection by Oriana Georgiana Reinagle, daughter of Phillip Reinagle, and is probably her work. Reinagle seems to have been following J.D. Harding's system for drawing trees and may have been teaching a pupil or developing her own variation of the system.
