Sir George Clausen RA, Study of cottages

Study of cottages, probably 1920s/30s

Sir George Clausen RA (1852 - 1944)

RA Collection: Art

A row of cottages are seen from the riverbank in the foreground. A bridge has been roughly sketched in to the centre of the composition and there is a large building in the foreground on the right. This view was probably taken on one of Clausen's frequent cycling trips around the Essex countryside in the early decades of the twentieth century.
