Henry Dixon & Son, Staircase, No. 10. Austin Friars

Staircase, No. 10. Austin Friars, ca.1884

From: Henry Dixon & Son

RA Collection: Art

"The house, No. 10, is a good example of the genuine Queen Anne style; its date, 1704, is seen on the rain-pipe. The staircase has a painted ceiling, the only one, perhaps, yet left in a City house."

The above description, by Alfred Marks, was taken from the letterpress which accompanies the photographs.
