Netterville Briggs, John Marshall

John Marshall, ca. 1870s

From: Netterville Briggs

RA Collection: Art

In 1875, John Marshall, the Chairman of the Royal Academy Dining Club, offered to present a photographic album containing portraits of all the Members. The offer was accepted and the album was received by the Librarian Solomon Hart R.A. in 1876. It is, perhaps, appropriate that a photograph of Marshall, is the second image in the album after the President, Sir Francis Grant.
