RA Collection: Art

Cast is of a bronze head found at Olympia in 1880, now in the National Museum, Athens. It is widely believed to portray the boxer Satyros who triumphed in Olympia after 338 BC. Originally the bronze head would have been attached to a figure and have had eyes of semi-precious stones.
