This scheme consists of two designs for enlarging a small country house. The earlier, dated 1871, is much larger than the second scheme of 1874 which was executed. Three of the 1874 sheets are draft drawings for contract.
Bourton Cottage was renamed Bourton Manor in the mid-20th century.
