A collection of 14 photographs and one print of sculpture by Francis Derwent Wood R.A. which includes this photograph (07/2002) by F. Hilaire D'Arcis which shows the sculptor in his studio, working on a sketch model for his statue of William Pitt, Earl of Chatham. A marble version of the statue of Pitt was shown at the Royal Academy in 1918, it was later acquired by the National Gallery of Washington, U.S.A.
