Responsibility Note

The folding, hand-coloured map in volume I shows the route of the author's travels through the eastern seaboard states of North America and Canada in 1827-28. It is signed as 'Engraved on Steel by W. H. Lizars'.

Provenance

Presented by the author as part of a collection of his works in 15 volumes accepted at a meeting of the RA Council on 20 December 1834 (RA Council Minutes, VIII, 112).
